What Does It Cost to Hire Event Staff in Toronto?

Most event staff in Toronto are booked by the hour, per person. At Ludify, hourly staffing starts at $35 per hour. This guide explains what goes into the price and shows a few examples so you can budget.

What changes the rate

• Venue location. Events outside Toronto and the GTA can cost more because of travel.
• Shift timing. Holidays and rush requests can be priced higher.
• The role. Banquet servers, craft cocktail bartenders, event captains and cleanup staff are priced by role.

Your quote lists each role, the hours and the total, so you know the full cost before you book.

Count setup and cleanup in your hours

Staff time usually starts before guests arrive and ends after they leave. Plan for setup before the event (setting tables, staging the bar, chilling wine) and cleanup after (clearing, washing glassware, cleaning the kitchen). A party that runs 7 to 10 p.m. may need staff from about 6 to 11 p.m.

What is not included
